Food, Beer and Rugga Fest at Sugar Rush

Enjoy an abundance of craft beer, wine and food while listening to the sweet tunes of Danny Fisher

Head down to Sugar Rush Park this Saturday for another exciting day of festivities at the Food and Beer Fest from 1pm to 7pm.

Hosted by Sugar Rush, together with Mo-zam-bik Ballito and Round Table, the event is to raise funds for local pro-life animal rescue organisation, Sables Creatures.

Dedicated to rescuing sick and abused animals, Sables Creatures has racked up a vet bill worth nearly R70 000 and need all the assistance they can get in order to settle this debt and continue doing their good work.

On the day you can enjoy an abundance of craft beer, wine and food while listening to the sweet tunes of Danny Fisher.

Down on the rugby field the Great Railroad Brewing Company Dolphins will be going head-to-head with the Westville Old Boys in a game they have to win to avoid relegation.

The Dolphins only have two matches left this season, this weekend against Westville and another home game against the PMB Collegians on July 8th.

The second team game will kick off at 1.30pm and the first team will get going at 3pm.

The sixth and seventh position teams on the log at the end of the season will be relegated and right now the Dolphins are sitting in fifth place, keeping their heads above sixth on points-difference alone.

“These last two games are extremely important, if we canot pull off wins there is a good chance we could be relegated,” said Dolphins’ flanker Zamani Mthembu.

For all the Springbok rugby fans, the SA vs France game will be on the big screen at 5pm and for the kids, there will be multiple activities on-the-go.

Tickets are available from Mo-zam-bik Ballito or at the venue on the day.

Tickets are R50pp and entry for kids under 16 is free.
