Ballito gal steals the show at East Coast Radio

Ballito’s very own Margaret Westerhof (Mags) and former North Coast Courier journalist Gareth Jenkinson (G-Dawg) will form part of the team taking over the East Coast radio airwaves, captivating audiences from all over KZN from July 31.

Mags (the former Big Brother housemate), as the co-host along with the host Bongani Mtolo and G-Dawg the sports presenter, will be entertaining listeners at the East Coast Radio Drive show between 3 pm and 6 pm.

This comes after former East Coast Radio Drive host Phat Joe and East Coast Radio management mutually agreed not to renew his contract after a year.

Mags, who co-hosted at East Coast Radio exactly ten years ago, said she was excited to return.

“With such a great team and a completely different era, it will only mean that the best is yet to come. It is very exciting and round two should be interesting.”

Bongani previously hosted the humorous East Coast Urban show from 6 pm to 9 pm Monday to Thursday.

East Coast Radio’s programming manager Zane Derbyshire said he was thrilled to have Bongani as part of the Drive team.

“Bongani is a born entertainer and having him on the drive home with Mags by his side, with G-Dawg and producer Rory Petzer completing the line-up, we are sure that very soon this will be KZN’s favourite way to get home.”

The show is promised to be light-hearted and fun with listeners interacting freely.
