Don’t miss crazy-beautiful Salon Sue at Sibiya theatre
Known on the radio and in hit movies such as the recent Keeping Up With The Kandasamys, Naicker will keep you entertained in this Copy Dog production
An achingly funny new comedy is coming to Sibaya’s iZulu Theatre from July 28 to 30 starring the hilarious Maeshni Naicker, making her debut solo stage appearance in Salon Sue.
Known on the radio and in hit movies such as the recent Keeping Up With The Kandasamys, Naicker will keep you entertained in this Copy Dog production, written and directed by Clinton Marius, about hair stylists and their clients.
Marius said he loved working with Naiker, who was also on his radio drama Lollipop Lane which aired on Lotus FM for four years and gave thousands of listeners their daily dose of comedy.
“Maeshni’s unerring gift for delivering a comic line to perfection proved itself onstage as well when I brought two of my plays, Ladies of Lollipop Lane and Mystic Twisters to Sibaya in recent seasons. Audiences adore her, and they can expect a real firecracker with Salon Sue,” said Marius.
Naicker said she is looking forward to her first solo stage production
“Clinton has a great eye and ear for comedy, and together we are going to bring you a crazy-beautiful show,” said Naicker.
Tickets for Salon Sue are R120 per person and bookings are open through Computicket.
Performances are at 8pm on Friday and Saturday, July 28 and 29, and at 3pm on Sunday, 30 July.
