Friday, September 29

  • Join the awardwinning Action Coach Ignite for a free business growth seminar named ‘How to Maximise your Business Profitability’ at Mount Edgecombe Country Club at 9 am for 9:30am until 12pm. To book your seat, email darrynlegrange@actioncoach.com

  • The Litchi Orchard night market take place on the last Friday of the month at 5pm to 9pm. You can look forward for local food, drink, live music and festivities. Entry fee is R30 and you can bring along your chairs, blankets and the whole family to support the local traders. Kiddies under 12 pay R20 and under five get in for free.

Saturday, September 30

  • Make your way to the Tinley Manor Market at Numz Adventure Island and enjoy a classy, artisan and craft market experience in the country. Serving great coffee, delicious food and an array of interesting items to purchase, this is definitely a place to linger. Open from 7am to 1pm.

  • The Shree Radha Krishna temple will host Vijay Dashmi at 5.30pm at 28 Coull Drive, La Mercy. Registration is required. Contact Sandhia at 082 571 1177.
  • Builders Express Ballito (next to the Umhlali Country Club) will host a Spring garden talk show on Saturday. The guest speaker will be principal and tutor Lindsay Gray of the School of Garden Design. Contact the store at 032-9472605 for more.

  • Head down to Sugar Rush Park every Saturday for the Sugar Rush Market from 7.30-noon. Browse through fresh, home made, hand made, local and organically produced products to support our local growing and developing area. Contact Gill at gill@sugarrush.co.za
  • The Tinley Manor Shree Siva Soobramaniar Temple Society will host Saraswathi and Vijay Dasami Prayers at 5.30pm.

  • Come and support National Cupcake Day 4 Kids with Cancer at Lifestyle Centre in aid of children with cancer. For a R10 donation you will receive a delicious homemade cupcake. Visit www.cupcakesofhope.org or contact Taryn at 082 561 0088 if you would like to donate some cupcakes.
  • The Fun in the Sun 2017 music festival at Hazelmere Dam kicks off at 8am. Tickets cost R300 for general access. Limited tickets on sale at www.fitsfest.co.za, at webticket.co.za or at selected Pick ‘n Pay stores.

  • Calling all brides-to-be! Don’t miss the annual Bridal Fair at Rain Farm Game and Lodge. Meet with multiple experiences exhibitors, stand a chance to win spot prizes, and find out which couple has won the ‘Win a Wedding’ competition. Entrance is free.

  • National Alliance for Life is holding a national campaign against abortion, with the message: “Abortion is the murder of a very human child that cannot speak for itself.” Meeting behind the Umhlanga fire station at 2pm. Call Nina McNeil at 073 745 5740.
