Simply the best at Sibaya
Rocking the audience all the way back to the 1960’s was the riveting ‘Tina: Simply the Best’ show that debuted at Sibaya Casino last Friday.

Performed by the talented Johannesburg born Caroline Borole at the Izulu Theatre, the two-hour show recreated the powerful and energetic vocals of the Queen of rock, Tina Turner.
Featuring popular tracks like ‘What’s Love got to Do with It‘ and ‘River Deep – Mountain High’, the show had the audience standing in their seats, as well as the soulful and rhythmic blues songs that had everyone belting their hearts out from one of the world’s most-loved female music legends.
The confident Borole who was handpicked by the show organisers, Showtime Australia, told the Courier she had performed Tina previously in a number of cabaret shows, the first of which took place over 10 years ago.

She said she puts a lot of focus into what she needs to do on stage.
“I have to get my mind right and into the performing zone. I also have to put on makeup and assume the Tina look, getting into costume helps me to focus. Finally, I put on a wig and heels with some good stockings. Before I head to stage I also do a lot of vocal warm-ups.”
Saying that she enjoys performing songs from strong female artists like Aretha Franklin and Mariah Carey, Borole’s professional singing career started 15 years ago.
When she is not performing, she enjoys shopping, being in the company of friends, family and being surrounded by love.
The Tina: Simply The best show ends on 7 January.
