Cooking up a storm for Umhlali trauma unit

Get ready for the most delicious Master Chef mystery box cook-off fundraiser happening at Mozambik on February 21 from 7pm.

Watch eight local contestants turn up the heat in the kitchen for a good cause as the funds raised will go to the Umhlali SAPS station and trauma unit.

Umhlali SAPS spokesperson captain Vinny Pillay said the community has been incredibly supportive of their recently setup trauma unit.

“The community as a whole has been helping and giving us everything we need to start the trauma unit.

“I am so happy that Brett from Mozambik has come on board and has offered to handle the finances raised at the event which will go towards building a playground for the traumatised children we work with,” said Pillay.

Tickets cost R250 and include the entrance fee, a scrumptious buffet meal and your choice of one free Heineken, Sol, Amstel, Amstel Light or Strongbow Cider.

There will also be live music, exciting raffle prizes and a not-to-be-missed auction.
