Eat, drink and be merry this St Paddy’s Day

Remember to dress up, as the best St Paddy's day outfit will win ten tokens.

Practice your Irish accent and put on your lucky green outfit for the not-to-be-missed St Paddy’s Gin and Craft Beer Festival at Maroupi wedding venue on March 17.

Whatever your poison, be it craft beer, gin, Tapanga rum or wine you are sure to find it at this fun-loving family friendly day organised by JM Events – Johnny St Clair Gibson and Maroupi’s Clive and Janine Hill.

Starting at 12pm until 9pm, there will have plenty of time to work your way through the eight craft beer companies offering their best brews.

If hops and malted barley is not your thing, spice it up with some craft gin which will be provided by five gin specialists with Fitch & Leedes providing the mixers.

Traditionalists can fill up on some good old Guinness or Gordon’s gin to sip on.

For the children and teetotalers, the Maroupi bar will be serving water and cool drinks.

Foodies will not be disappointed, as a variety of food stalls will be offering delicious options for all tastes. Make sure not to go home early, as there will be live music from 4pm till 7pm as well as a DJ working the tunes throughout the festival.

Children will also be entertained with a jolly jumping castle.

Tickets cost R100 each and are available from www.webtickets.co.za or simply scan the QR code with Zapper on the electronic flyer.

Children under 18 get free entry. Make sure to download the Zapper app on your phone before the event as payment will be preferred via Zapper.

You can buy tokens at the door costing R15 a token via Zapper, cash or your card.

One token will get you half a beer so that you can taste around until you find your favourite (two tokens for a full beer).

Remember to dress up, as the best St Paddy’s day outfit will win ten tokens.

Try you Irish luck by going to the JM Events Facebook page and liking the festival post to stand a chance to win one of two double tickets to the festival.
