Saturday, April 14

  • The Ballito Dolphins Rugby Club takes on the Jaguars at Sugar Rush Park on Saturday. The second team kicks off at 1pm, with the 1st team taking to the field at 2.30pm. Bring your camping chairs and blankets, food and drinks can be purchased down at the field.

  • Enjoy the unique experience of Monteverdi’s ‘Mass for Four Voices’ sung by the Durban Chamber Choir in a sacred mass by his Eminence Cardinal Wilfrid Fox Napier OFM at the Emmanuel Cathedral, Durban. All are welcome to the special mass which will start at 5.30pm. The Denis Hurley Centre’s Raymond Perrier said seeing Monteverdi’s Mass for Four Voices performed in a cathedral will be a historic moment.

  • Head down to the Hive in Ballito on Saturday from 9am – 1pm for the launch of 3 Conscious Brands – Vanhulu, Soho Boho and Mama Pacha, in collaboration with Conscious art by Chelsea Cowan, a series of illustrations by Sabrina Riversand illustrations, film photography and vintage cameras by Josh Ihlenfeldt. Smoothies and iced coffee’s available on the day.

Sunday, April 13

  • The Durban Waterproofing and Roofing fishing fun day, in partnership with the North Coast Courier Orphan Fund, has arrived and there is plenty of excitement in the air as we gear up for another unforgettable day down by the dam. Hosted at the Dudley Pringle Dam on Sunday, the event will run from 6.30am to 2pm, with prize giving taking place at 11am. There are a number of huge prizes up for grabs, so don’t miss out!

  • Showing at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre from April 6 – 29, The Play that Goes Wrong sees an amateur dramatics company putting on a 1920s murder mystery. Even before the play starts, the audience see the technical team doing last-minute adjustments to the set, including trying to mend a broken mantelpiece and to find a misplaced dog. Tickets are available from Computicket and range from R180 to R230. Shows start at 7.30pm from Tuesday to Saturday, with a matinee showing at 2.30pm on Saturday and 4pm Sunday.
