The fourth annual Zafiko Music Festival festival will be hitting Durban’s shores on May 25, 26 and 27, and promises a wide-ranging line-up of cutting-edge musicians from across the African continent and beyond.

Spread across three iconic Durban venues, the festival will feature artists such as renowned kora player from Guinea, Sekou Kouyate, Cape Verdean folk singer Elida Almeida, Guy Buttery and 5FM’s Nick Hamman.
Kicking off the festival on Friday night is a fundraising concert for the Nelson Mandela Foundation at the BAT Centre.
The festivities move to the magnificent rooftop of the Views @ Twenty5 in Morningside for the rest of Friday night and Saturday night where DJ’s will keep the party going.
Sunday will be a relaxing family-friendly day at Blue Lagoon Beach where you should try Zakifo’s signature lager made by Durban Brewing Co. and enjoy the sunshine with artists such as major international singer-songwriter Aloe Blacc known for “I Need A Dollar”.
