Playing with knights and swords

Cullan Wagner has been part of the stellar cast of the glorious musical Camelot.

Making his debut on the professional stage between King Arthur and the knights of the round table is an aspiring young Ballito actor in the part of Tom of Warwick.

Cullan Wagner has been part of the stellar cast of the glorious musical Camelot showing at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre, UKZN campus until June 3.

“I am ecstatic to be in a professional show where I can really see how far drama will take me,” said the 14-year-old Wagner who has performed in many a school play.

“When I am on stage everything falls away, even who I am. I am totally in character – body and mind.”

Wagner’s favourite character in Camelot is the hilariously kooky King Pelinore played by the talented Peter Court who also doubles up as Merlin.
