Isuzu mu-X, tailored for South African conditions

The second-generation fully imported Isuzu mu-X, based on Isuzu's D-Max, is due to be launched later this year.

Equipped with active and passive safety systems, Android Auto and Apple Car friendly in-car infotainment systems, “this generation mu-X is a game-changer for us,” said Dominic Rimmer, senior vice president of technical operations.

“Vehicle testing was successfully conducted late 2020, and we continue to test the vehicle under a number of conditions to ensure it is suitably prepared for South Africa.”

To ensure South African customers get the best service from dealers and their mu-Xs, Isuzu, through its parts distribution centre in Gqeberha, will ensure that parts, when required and depending on the part ordered, will be available within two days.
