11 August – Hirsch’s Ballito invites all local businesswomen to their instore Women in Business Showcase. Talk about your business, network, pass on referrals and enjoy some coffee and snacks. From 11am to midday at Hirsch’s Ballito Showroom.

12 August – Rockhaven performs live at Umhlali Country Club from 6pm.

Catch Noelin on piano at The Market from 10am-12.30pm. Tanner Wareham live from 6-9pm.

13 August – Big screen rugby championships, SA vs NZ from 5.05pm at The Market.

14 August – Quiet Storm takes the stage at Eat Street from 1-4pm.

16 August – Window of the Widow, a 5-part series which explores the challenges of trauma, loss and grief by widows. Talk presented by Yolanda Franklin, an international trainer and clinical counselor from the United States of America. The Crest Business Park, from 4-6pm. 20 August – Tongaat Child Welfare Society annual general meeting at Tongaat Child Welfare Centre, Tesco Drive, Tongaat at 2pm. RSVP at 032 944 1514 or tcw@telkomsa.net.

27 August – Ballito Gesinskerk Bazaar from 8am to midday (behind Leonora Drive). Best traditional food, vetkoek, pancake, curry and rice, boerie rolls and freshly baked cakes, tarts, rusks etc. Lovely tea garden! Free jumping castle for kids. Vendors welcome. Contact Leonie at 032 946 1198 (before 1pm daily).

Barry Hilton Unscripted at Linc Campus, Salt Rock, at 7pm. Tickets R250 at Webtickets.co.za with proceeds to Vision153. Food and drinks sold separately.

31 August – Join The Wednesday Club, a charity organisation which raises funds for worthy causes, at the Ballito Library, Compensation Beach Road, at 9am. Visitors welcome. Contact Filippa Heyneke at 082 602 4593.
