24-28 August – AFM Central Tabernacle Stanger hosts the Gospel Crusade 2022 at Glenhills Sports Ground, Venus Drive, Stanger. Wed-Fri: 7pm, Sat-Sun: 6pm. Contact pastor Harry Solomon at 083 301 2923.
26 August – Hale Mary is performing at The Market and you can catch Winston Smile on Eat Street, 6pm-9pm.
27 August – Ballito Gesinskerk bazaar from 8am to midday (behind Leonora Drive). Best traditional food, vetkoek, pancake, curry and rice, boerie rolls and freshly baked cakes, tarts, rusks and more. Lovely tea garden! Free jumping castle for kids. Vendors welcome. Contact Leonie at 032 946 1198 (before 1pm daily).
– Barry Hilton Unscripted at Linc Campus, Salt Rock, at 7pm. Tickets R250 at Webtickets.co.za with proceeds to Vision153. Food and drinks sold separately.
– Chuck Bowden is performing at The Market from 12.30-3.30pm and be entertained by Steve Graham on Eat Street from 6-9pm.
28 August – Quiet Storm will perform on Eat Street from 1pm-4pm.
31 August – Join The Wednesday Club charity at the Ballito Library, Compensation Beach Road, at 9am. Visitors welcome. Contact Filippa Heyneke at 082 602 4593.
1 September – Miss Ballito crowning evening at Collisheen Estate, dress is Black Tie, 6pm for 6.30pm. Tickets are R550, including entertainment and a 3-course meal. Email missballito.rotaryzimbali@gmail.com for tickets.
– Relaunch of the Salt Rock Pharmacy (at Spar), which is under new ownership, 1 to 3 September. Free glucose and blood pressure testing, as well as giveaways in store.
7 September – Umhlali & District Garden and Flower Club monthly meeting at the All Souls Anglican Church, Sheffield Beach Road (9.30am). General gardening talk and ideas for spring planting. Visitors welcome at R50. Contact Pete at 032 946 3935 or Anne at 032 940 5255 for more details.
