1 September – Miss Ballito crowning at Collisheen Estate, 6pm for 6.30pm. Dress code is Black Tie. Tickets are R550, including entertainment and a three-course meal. Email missballito.rotaryzimbali@gmail.com for tickets.

Late night shopping at The Studios for First Thursdays until 8pm. Be entertained by Quiet Storm from 5-8pm.

2 September – Learn how to script and tell your business story so others will care. Speaker is story-teller and author, Bruce Wade. Hosted by iLembe Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Tourism at Ballito Lifestyle Centre, Next Level from 8-10am. Cost is R350 per person. No charge for chamber members. Chuck Bowden will perform at The Market and The Kickstands on Eat Street from 6-9pm.

3 September – Rugby on the big screen at The Market from 11.35am. The Golden Super Hawks perform live from 6-9pm.

4 September – Catch Dave Starke at The Market from 12.30-3.30pm, with Afritude live at Eat Street from 1-4pm.

6 September – Sip and paint at Mamma G’s, Umhlali Country Club from 6pm. Entry is R250 per person and includes all materials and a glass of wine or drink of your choice. Call 063 771 8889.

7 September – Umhlali & District Garden and Flower Club monthly meeting at the All Souls Anglican Church, Sheffield Beach Road (9.30am). General gardening talk and ideas for spring planting. Visitors welcome at R50. Contact Pete at 032 946 3935 or Anne at 032 940 5255.
