What’s happening on the North Coast

From activities fit for the whole family to those you can hit up on your own, the North Coast has it all!

Whether you find live concerts or joining a local community organisation more to your fancy is completely up to you, but rest assured that with The North Coast Courier’s What’s Up On the North Coast events diary your chances of missing an event are pretty much zero.

30 September – Yami Rib & Burger grand opening with entertainment by Len Muller from 6pm. Free tasters from midday.

Catch Chuck Bowden live at The Market, or opt for Tanner Wareham at Eat Street – both perform from 6-9pm.

1 October – The North Coast Centre for Alcoholics holds its 29th AGM at 4pm at its premises, 4 High Crescent, Tongaat. Well-wishers, members and sponsors welcome. Info at admin@nocca.co.za.

Afrikaans musician Appel is performing at La Montagne from 7.30pm. Tickets priced from R200 – tickets@musiekunlimited.co.za.

A line-up of musicians perform at The Market. Catch David Langley (10am to midday), Gavin Ferguson (12.30-3.30pm) and the Golden Super Hawks (6-9pm).

2 October – An afternoon filled with Jazz by Beat-Route at Eat Street, 1-4pm.

5 October – Umhlali and District Garden and Flower Club monthly meeting at 9.30am in a beautiful garden in Darnall. Please bring folding chairs and hats. Visitors welcome at R50. Contact Pete McClean at 032 946 3935 or Anne Isabelle at 032 940 5255 for directions.

11 October – Visit the Ballito Library where South African National Blood Service (SANBS) staff will assist with your blood donation. SANBS is at the library every second Tuesday of the new month from 10am to 6pm.

22 October – Ballito Neighbourhood Watch’s second annual potjie competition at Townsend Park, Ballito. More details to follow.

28-30 October – Three days of Halloween Horrors at Umhlali Country Club, a fundraiser event for Sables Creatures and Paw Prints Rescue. Tickets available at the door, from R50pp. Contact 073 352 2836 or sablescreatures@gmail.com.
