From activities fit for the whole family to those you can hit up on your own, the North Coast has it all!
Whether you find live concerts or joining a local community organisation more to your fancy is completely up to you, but rest assured that with The North Coast Courier’s What’s Up On the North Coast events diary your chances of missing an event are pretty much zero.
16 March – Open mic at The Market – all welcome to show off their local talent from 6pm.
17-19 March – Celebrate St Patrick’s Day at The Market all weekend. Live performances by Keith Austin (17th and 18th), Tara Blake (18th and 19th), The Wild Rovers (19th) and Amy Stow Irish Dancers (19th).
19 March – Umhlali Saps AGM at Umhlali Magistrate’s Court from 2pm. Call 071 416 0110.
20 March – Probus Club Ballito meets at Simbithi Club at midday. Speaker is Helen Wienand of the North Coast National Sea Rescue Institute. Visitors welcome at R30. Buy your own lunch and drinks.
– South African singer-songwriter-guitarist, Rowan Stuart, performs at Eat Street from 6-9pm.
21 March – Catch comedian Merv the Swerv in a stand-up comedy show at iZulu Theatre, Sibaya Casino from 3pm. Tickets from R120, available at TicketPros.co.za.
– Dave Starke performs at The Market from 12.30-3.30pm.
25 March – Swimathon to raise money for Happy Bundles cancer charity at Curro Salt Rock. Lanes open all day. R50 per swimmer; teams, families and solo swimmers welcome. Contact Jen via WhatsApp at 073 155 3723 to book.
– Westbrook Neighbourhood Watch fundraiser and family fun day from 10am to 2pm, 1 Strelitzia Place, Westbrook. Food, activities and prizes for all ages. Entry is free, raffle tickets at R30. Contact Amy at 082 305 6608 or Kem at 084 683 1983.
– Fast and Furriest 5km fun walk from 8-10.30am at Zimbali Lakes Resort sales centre. Pets welcome, lucky draw and consider adopting a dog from Sables Creatures on-site. 31 March – Relive the 60s and 70s with Bee Gees Night Fever, a theatrical musical, at iZulu Theatre, Sibaya Casino from 8pm. Tickets from R295, available at TicketPros.co.za.
31 March – 2 April – Legends Music Concert at the Pumpkin Theatre, La Montagne Hotel, Ballito.
