It took Cavan 11 months to write the book, but he said all-in-all, from the first scribbles to getting the book onto the shelves, took two years.
Self-published author Cavan Barry recently celebrated the launch of his first book, Children of the Storm, at Exclusive Books in Ballito Junction.
The well-attended event saw the author share details of his book, a fantasy piece, which follows the story of Twelve, a young man whose life means nothing much at all, until one day a supernatural light explodes from his hands, with the end result of him labelled a murderer whose life is thrown into chaos.

He has no choice but to embark on a journey to learn how to control these newfound powers, leading him to love and war. One must read the full story to truly appreciate it.
