Principal’s Message
Our Lady of Fatima DCS is conveniently situated in the heart of Durban North and provides Dominican, Catholic, Girls’ School education from grade 1 to 12. The biblical core values of the school and our motto “Veritas” are fundamental principles.
We are currently developing and expanding. What drives this vision is our belief that we add value to our community. Being rooted in sound educational practices, we strive to “grow” young women to become initiators and creative decision-makers with a dedicated sense of social justice.
The small school environment offers opportunities for our learners to serve and explore new possibilities. Our unique prefect and mentor system offers all Matrics leadership positions from grade 1 to Grade12, affirming the ideal of “school family”.
As a member of ISASA, the school is committed to writing the IEB examinations. Whilst ebooks have been introduced in the High School, our teachers are our primary and most valuable resource.
We strive to succeed and celebrate victory but also recognise the many lessons learnt from losing and facing the disappointment of unmet expectations.
The school continues to be innovative and relevant in the 21st Century whilst appreciating good school tradition.
