House breaker nabbed

MARSHALL Security arrested a suspect for house break-in on Sunday at about 7.10pm.

According to Marshall’s Tyron Powell, they were informed of a house break-in in Marion Avenue. “When our patrol vehicle arrived, the home owner gave us a description of the suspects, one of whom was armed.

“The information was shared to all our vehicles and another of our officers who was responding to the scene spotted a suspect fitting the description running along Ashley Avenue,” he said. Powell added a foot pursuit ensued and the suspect was apprehended.

“The suspect was arrested with a bag containing various items that had been taken from the house. The suspect was handed over to the Durban North SAPS ad the home owner identified the items and the bag belonging to him and his wife,” he said. Powell said the suspects had entered the property through a rear window where they had forced the burglar guards out to gain entry.
