Rowena Bosman says taxpayers’ money must be spent wisely, with municipal services and community needs taking priority over unnecessary projects.
With the 2026 Local Government Elections just around the corner, councillors will be elected for all district, metropolitan and local municipalities across the country’s nine provinces.
This week, the Northglen News took to the streets of Ward 110 that it covers to meet and greet some of the councillor candidates assigned by the different political parties to compete for the hot seat come the November 4 Local Government Elections.
DA Ward 110 councillor candidate Rowena Bosman
Background: Originally from the Eastern Cape, I am a married mother of two. My professional background spans retail, manufacturing, marketing, the motor industry and property. In 2006, I established Megadon Properties, (Principal – MPRE). Community service is/ has always been my passion. I spent over a decade with Lions International, participated in ratepayers’ associations and Community Police Forums, SGBs. I founded Papillion to help learners from less privileged backgrounds acquire matric dance attire. We may not be able to save the world, but we can make a difference by helping one person at a time or lightening someone’s load.

Having served as the DA candidate in the 2025 Ward 110 by-election, I remain committed to accountability, practical solutions and responsive governance. Taxpayers’ hard-earned money must be spent wisely on essential services and community needs, not unnecessary vanity projects.
Top priorities
1. Reliable municipal service delivery
2. Improved infrastructure, water in taps.
3. Clean and safe neighbourhoods for all.
4. Effective, responsive communication, and improved animal welfare. I also advocate for consideration of additional policing and traffic monitoring.
