Rhino meets reality winners
THE Crescent has announced the winners of the Rhino Meets Reality art competition for school children.
Art winners were selected from the six weeks’ finalists and Grade R to Grade 7 winners received R2 000 in Crescent Shopping vouchers, while the runner-up winners received R200 vouchers courtesy of Bargain Books.
Selected artwork and photography from the competition will be published in a Coffee Table Book and sold at participating schools as well as at Food Lover’s Market, the Crescent, where a portion of the proceeds will be given to the Rhino Project Foundation.
As part of the campaign this year, a Silent Auction was held where, Grade 11 Durban High School pupil, Nikhil Luckan, donated three of his artworks to The Crescent to help raise funds for the Rhino Project.
Bidding started at R200, and a total of R3 750 has been raised from the three pieces.

* Grade 2: Keara Munien- Glenashley Junior Primary
* Grade 3: Chad Hoggan- Ashton International College

* Grade 5: Eri Tajiri- Crawford Prep La Lucia
* Grade 6: Saahira Moola- Atholton Primary
* Grade 7: Sohana Anandavasagar- Atholton Primary
