Greenwood SAPS launch liquor forum
Greenwood Park SAPS urges local liquor establishments to attend the next Liquor Forum meeting later this month.
GREENWOOD Park SAPS and the KwaZulu-Natal Liquor Authority met with a number of liquor establishments in the area last week to form a Liquor Forum.
According to Lt Elvis Naidoo there’s been a huge problem with drunk driving and domestic violence, as a result of drinking, in the area of late.
“This directly contributes to crime in our area,” he said.
Lt Naidoo urged local liquor establishments (liquor stores, taverns, shebeens, pubs and restaurants) to attend the next Liquor Forum meeting on 24 October at Firwood Road Library at 11am. The local liquor officer, Warrant Officer Errol Pandaram, will be at the meeting.
Any liquor related complaints, such as illegal establishments and establishments trading outside the regular trading hours, can be directed to W/O Pandaram on 084 512 5077 or 031 571 6524.
