A special general meeting of the Somerset Park Home Owners’ Association (SPHOA) was held on Tuesday 26 November 2013 to consider two resolutions.
EDITOR – As you are aware, a special general meeting of the Somerset Park Home Owners’ Association (SPHOA) was held on Tuesday 26 November 2013 to consider two resolutions.
The first was to declare the current Articles of Association null and void and, secondly, to approve the new Memorandum of Incorporation (MOI) as required by the Companies Act of 2008. Both resolutions were passed unanimously.
Thank you to all members who attended the meeting and to all those who submitted proxies. We also thank Barbara Johnston of Knight Turner who worked very hard to have the MOI ready in time.
On another issue, the membership fee invoices for SPHOA for the 2013/14 year were sent out in late August and early September. If you have received your invoice we urge you to pay your fee as soon as possible as the process of having the MOI prepared and lodged at the deeds office is costly and your fees are what are needed to pay for it, in particular the special levy of R60.
