Mobile station officially opens
The Greenwood Park SAPS mobile station has officially been opened to the public.
AVOCA Hills, Corovoca, Khabazela Village and Quarry Heights residents can breath a sigh of relief as long trips to the Greenwood Park Police Station will be eliminated thanks to the opening of a mobile station.
In operation since 1 April, the mobile police station will service the community and police hope this project will improve policing and make police services more accessible to the community at large.
The station will operate from 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.
“The community are invited to report all incidents of crime and to seek police assistance if needed. Affidavits and the certification of documents will also be processed at this centre,” said Lt Elvis Naidoo, spokesman for Greenwood Park Police Station.
The mobile station is at Avoca Hills Estate, Avoca Hills Drive. Contact 031 571 6512/3/4 or the police emergency number on 10111.
