Car ablaze at Gateway offramp removed

FIRE fighters have just managed to douse the flames of a white Mercedes Benz that was ablaze on the Gateway offramp in uMhlanga minutes ago. Traffic is at a standstill. Firefighters are on the scene. Crisis Medical spokesman Neil Powell said the car has been removed from the scene.

The female driver, according to Powell was heading north when she noticed smoke coming out the bonnet of her car. “The engine was on fire,” he said. There were no injuries.
