A beautiful noise at the barnyard

Taking on the Neil Diamond vocals and guitar will be Johan Liebenberg who has built a reputation as sounding just like the Sweet Caroline maestro.

DURBAN audiences are in for a Beautiful Noise when Johan Liebenberg stages one performance only of Neil Diamond & Friends at The Barnyard Theatre at Gateway on Monday, 12 May. The show celebrates the music off Neil Diamond and some of his favourite divas, and will feature two vocalists and a full band.

Taking on the Neil Diamond vocals and guitar will be Johan Liebenberg who has built a reputation as sounding just like the Sweet Caroline maestro, and has been seen at The Barnyard in shows like Diamonds & Pearls, Rough Diamonds & Divas, Harvest Moon and Rocking All Over The World. 

Barnayrd performers Chloe Geldenhuys and Chrystal Worship will take on the female vocals, paying tribute to divas such as Barbara Streisand, Dolly Parton, Shirley Bassey, Adele, Celine Dion, Tina Turner and Edith Piaf.Audiences can expect to hear all Neil Diamond’s hits, including Beautiful Noise, Cracklin’ Rosie, Desiree, Sweet Caroline, Play Me, Cante Libre and I Am I Said. 

On the diva side, there will be Never Never, Someone Like You, No Regrets, Alone, You Don’t Bring Me Flowers and Proud Mary as only Tina can do it.The band will consist of Calli Thomson on keyboards, Chris Brink on guitar, Ian Jones on bass guitar and Francois Hardy on drums.
