Bok Legends off to winning start

The win means the Classic boks will face the Lions in tough semi-final clash.

THE SA Rugby Legends classic Springboks squad arrived safely in Bermuda on Saturday for the 2014 World Rugby Classic tournament. In their opening game, the Boks took on the Italian classics team.

Before kick-off, the Italians and spectators, joined the South Africans in a one-minute silence for Tinus Linee. The former Western Province centre died last week at age 45.

The game was a tough encounter, but thanks to two great tries from Stefan Terblanche and Egon Seconds, the Classic Springboks emerged victorious with a 21-7 win.

In the second match of the opening day, the Classic Lions convincingly beat the USA Eagles 56-7.
On Wednesday, November 12, old rivalries will be reignited when the Classic Springboks face the CLassic Lions to determine who goes through to the final on Saturday.
