Man killed on North Coast Road

This is the fourth fatal accident on the busy road since January.

A MAN was killed after being struck by a minibus taxi on Durban’s busy North Coast Road on Monday evening. According to Crisis Medical’s Kyle van Reenen, the 20-year-old was declared dead on scene.

“The accident occurred at the intersection of North Coast Road and Acutt Avenue. The man had sustained multiple injuries and was in a state of cardiac arrest. Advanced Life Support intervention was quickly administered, however, his injuries were too severe and paramedics’ efforts were unsuccessful. He was declared dead on the scene,” he said.

This is the fourth pedestrian killed on the busy road since January.
