Durban North woman robbed in driveway

A man mugged a Durban North resident outside her parents' home.

A WOMAN was robbed outside her home on Ennisdale Road last night. According to Blue Security’s operations manager, Brian Jackson, a local resident’s daughter had arrived at around 7pm to collect documents for her father when she was accosted by an unarmed man.

“The robber snatched her handbag (containing cash) and fled the scene,” he said.

In a separate incident, an armed response officer arrested two men who were having a fight in front of a resident’s driveway in Rannoch Place at 9.51am yesterday.

“When we made contact with the resident, he advised us that one of the men had allegedly stolen his cellphone and said he would report the matter to the police,” he said.

Durban North SAPS attended the scene of the crime and took both suspects into custody.
