Old woman hurt in Riverside Road smash

Driver escapes serious injury after crash.

A DRIVER believed to be in her seventies was lucky to escape with minor injuries after a collision between her vehicle and a truck on Riverside Road, near the service station.

Crisis Medical’s Kyle van Reenen said the cause of the accident is currently under investigation.

“Paramedics arrived on scene to find the lady freeing herself from her wrecked vehicle. She was assessed and treated on scene and later refused hospital transportation. The cause of the collision is unclear,” he said.
