A 29-YEAR-OLD man is in a critical condition after allegedly being thrown out of a moving vehicle in Durban North this evening. According to Crisis Medical’s Kyle van Reenen, the incident occurred near the Swapo (Broadway) Road turn-off.

“Paramedics arrived on the scene on the M4 near the Swapo Road off-ramp to find the injured man lying on the side of the road, having sustained life-threatening injuries. Advanced life support intervention was needed to stabilise him before he was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment.

“Bystanders allege the man was thrown from a moving light motor vehicle traveling on the busy highway. Police are on scene and investigations are underway,” he said.
