Child (14) struck by car

It is alleged the boy was struck when he attempted to cross the roadway.

A 14-YEAR-OLD boy was knocked down by a vehicle on Effingham Road in Avoca Hills this afternoon.

The boy reportedly sustained serious injuries, said Crisis Medical’s Kyle van Reenen.

“Paramedics arrived on scene in to find the young boy lying in the roadway having suffered serious injuries. Advanced life support intervention was needed to stabilise him before he was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital,” he said.

Van Reenen added that bystanders alleged the boy was struck when he attempted to cross the roadway.
