WHETHER you loathe or love the time spent in the kitchen, the following tips will help you improve your culinary skills.
The Northglen News collected some ingenious ‘hacks’ that will not only save you money, but also time.
1. Tired of the boring boiled egg? Shake it for a few minutes before popping it into the boiling water. You’ll end up with a delicious golden egg.
2. First time bakers don’t have to go out and buy a rolling pin. Simply wash out a wine bottle. Perfect for saving the environment.
3. Let’s face it. Leftover pizza never tastes the same. To recapture the delicious taste and smell, reheat it in a frying pan rather than popping it in a microwave.
4. If you hate cutting cherry tomatoes, lightly squeeze them between two plates then slice between with a sharp knife. And voila!
5. If you always struggle to remove an avocado pip, pro chefs suggest chopping it once with a sharp blade, wriggling the pip slightly and then removing the pip connected to the blade.
