Head-on collision leaves one injured

A passenger suffered serious head injuries in an early morning accident.

A 20-YEAR-OLD woman was seriously injured in a head-on collision in Redhill, north of Durban this morning. Crisis Medical’s Kyle van Reenen said the woman, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles, suffered serious head injuries.

“Reports from the scene indicate that two vehicles collided head-on at high speed on Northway in the vicinity of Blackburn Road. The young lady sustained a serious head injury and advanced life support intervention was needed to stabilise her before she was transported to a nearby hospital for further care,” he said.

In November last year, a young driver was seriously injured after she lost control of her vehicle and smashed into a tree on Blackburn Road.
