3.1 tremor hits Durban, social media explodes

3.1 magnitude tremor felt in Durban and surrounds.

THE tremor that was felt in Durban and surrounding areas has been confirmed as a 3.1 magnitude tremor. It’s understood the tremor happened just after 11.30 am and lasted just a few seconds.

No injuries have been reported so far.

On the local front, Crisis Medical’s Kyle van Reenen said there has been no injuries.

“There were reports of a landslide in Tugela, but that is unconfirmed. There have been no injuries or casualties so far,” he said.
