A DOCUMENT detailing the new water-shedding schedule has emerged. Though the city denied there was any official documentation earlier on this morning, eThekwini spokesperson, Tozi Mthethwa, said the city was working on a plan of its own.

“Any documentation that is currently circulating is not official. There is a plan that will be delivered to the city’s executive committee by the mayor on Tuesday. There is no document detailing a schedule,” she said.

However, the schedule released in the document today is as follows:

• Effingham Reservoir shut reservoir outlet (from 9am to 6pm on Monday and Wednesday). Areas affected: Avoca, Effingham, Glenhills, Glen Anil, North Coast Road, Redhill and Greenwood Park.

• Phoenix 1 Reservoir shut reservoir outlet (from 7pm to 4am on Monday and Wednesday). Areas affected: Mount Edgecombe Hospital and Mount Edgecombe Estate.

• Ambleside Reservoir shut reservoir outlet (from 9.30am to 6.30pm on Monday and Wednesday). Areas affected: La Lucia, La Lucia Mall, Glenashley.

• Beachway Reservoir shut reservoir outlet (from 10am to 7pm on Monday and Wednesday). Areas affected: Beachway, Durban North and Glenashley.

• Sunningdale Reservoir and Towers Sunningdale Tower North shut reservoir outlet and Tower North outlet (from 10.30am to 7.30pm and 7pm to 4am on Monday and Wednesday).  Areas affected: Sunningdale, La Lucia, La Lucia Mall, Glenshley, Glen Anil, Somerset, Umhlanga, La Lucia Ridge.

• Gateway Reservoir shut reservoir inlet (from 11am to 8pm on Monday and Wednesday). Areas affected: Gateway Shopping Mall.

• Virginia Reservoir and Tower shut reservoir outlet and tower (from 11am to 8pm on Monday and Wednesday). Areas affected: Glen Anil, Glenhills, Umhlanga.

• Durban North Reservoir Hl and Durban North LL shut reservoir outlet and tower outlet (from 11.30am to 8.30pm and midday to 8pm on Monday and Wednesday). Areas affected: Redhill, Durban North Area, Beachway, Athlone, Japanese Garden and Riverside.

• Umhlanga 2 Reservoir shut reservoir outlet (from 10.30am to 7.30pm on Tuesday and Thursday). Areas affected: Umhlanga Area, Umhlanga Ridge, Prestondale, Ilala Ridge, Hawaan Forest, Umhlanga Manors, Westridge and Blackburn Village.

• Aloes Reservoir shut reservoir outlet (from 10am to 7pm on Tuesday and Thursday). Areas affected: Avocahills, Corovoca,
  Khabazela, Duffs Road and Quarry Heights.

• Umhlanga North Reservoir shut reservoir outlet (from 7pm to 4am on Tuesday and Thursday). Areas affected: Umhlanga CBD.

• Umhlanga South Reservoir shut reservoir outlet (from 11am to 7pm on Tuesday and Thursday). Areas affected: Umhlanga CBD and La Lucia.
