Pregnant woman injured in Durban North collision

An accident at a busy intersection in Durban North left one injured.

A PREGNANT woman was injured in a collision at the intersection of Swapo Road (Broadway) and Ranleigh Crescent on Tuesday morning. According to Neil Powell of Crisis Medical, the 27-year-old woman was trying to avoid another vehicle at the intersection when the accident occurred.

“The woman, who is 19 weeks pregnant, sustained moderate injuries. She was treated on scene before being transported to a nearby hospital. It is believed that she attempted to avoid another vehicle at the intersection, resulting in the collision. Police were on scene to investigate the cause of the accident,” he said.

On Monday, a delivery truck smashed into a car on Old Fort Road. Remarkably, no one was injured in the accident.
