Man trapped after N2 crash

 eThekweni Fire and Rescue used specialised equipment to free the motorist from the wreck.

A MAN had to be cut from his vehicle following a crash on the N2 near Queen Nandi Drive last night.

The 27-year-old man was trapped in the wreck following the collision that occurred on the southbound carriageway. eThekweni Fire and Rescue used specialised equipment to free the motorist, said Neil Powell, of Crisis Medical.

The occupant of the second vehicle sustained moderate injuries, he added. Both were transported to nearby hospitals.

The cause of the crash is unknown.
