Rain causes havoc on Durban North roads
Several roads as well as the M4 have been affected by the torrential downpour.

WHILE the rain that has fallen over the weekend has been welcomed, it has caused havoc in Durban North. Parts of the M4 have been flooded and there are large puddles of water pooling in some places.
According to Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen, the heavy rain and wind has caused a tree to collapse on Welwitschia Avenue.
“Luckily there’s been no injuries, but the road has been closed. Manhole covers on Maryland Avenue have also been pushed out of place with the pressure of the raging water. I urge residents to drive safely and responsibly in the wet weather. Emergency crews are also on high alert following the torrential rains,” he said.
