Woman killed in Glen Anil accident

The driver was ejected from her vehicle during the impact.

A 40-YEAR-old woman was killed in a head-on collision involving a vehicle and a truck on the R102 near Glen Anil in Durban. Athlenda Mathe, media liaison officer for Netcare 911, said exact details of what caused the accident are unknown. The incident occurred at about 8.15am this morning.

“When paramedics arrived on scene, we found the vehicle ripped into pieces and the driver ejected from the vehicle. Sadly, the woman had already died due to the extensive injuries she sustained. She was declared dead on scene. The truck driver sustained minor injuries, he was stabilised on scene and transported to a nearby hospital,” she said.
