Mt Edgecombe resident found safe

The former SABC CEO is recovering in a hospital after he was reportedly missing for five days.

FORMER South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) Chief Executive Officer, Solly Mokoetle, has been found. His wife, Zola Mthuli, said the 59-year-old, who went missing on Friday, was found by a resident who took him to Mahatma Gandhi Hospital in Phoenix earlier today.

The father of four, walked out of the Mt Edgecombe Estate on Friday night at about 10pm in his pajamas to meet someone at the gate, but never returned.

Details of how he was eventually found remained sketchy as the family would not elaborate any further.
