Armed gang storm Danville Avenue home

Police are still searching for the suspects who were all armed with knives.

A GROUP of armed men stormed a home on Danville Avenue just an hour ago. Police are currently searching for the suspects who were last seen on the N2 freeway. According to Craig Adendorff of Sun Cell Watch the suspects had taken several items but were spooked by the domestic worker who managed to call for help.

“The owner of the house got a message saying her domestic worker was running down the road screaming for help, followed by the dogs. When the homeowner phoned the domestic worker she was told that the suspects had broken into the house, armed with knives. They took laptops, iPads and had unplugged other appliances, including the TVs but were disturbed or spooked and left them behind.

Marshall Security and the SAPS were there in minutes and the dog unit were also in attendance searching for the suspects. Police are now using a tracking app on one of the items to pinpoint the gang’s location. The last ping showed them running towards the M4. It is believed the men are on foot,” he said.

Police are searching the bushes along the freeway where the suspects fled with the stolen loot.
