Bus driver shot dead

Father of two gunned down as he was loading passengers on the bus.

GREENWOOD Park SAPS are investigating a case of murder after a bus driver was shot dead on Effingham Road on Monday morning. Ebrahim Mahomed, a father of two from Greenwood Park, was gunned down while fetching passengers. The motive for the murder is unknown at this stage.  According to W/O Leon Audh, the incident occurred at about 5.45am. It’s believed he was shot multiple times.

“The bus driver and his conductor were shot at by an unknown suspect. The driver was rushed to hospital. He died on arrival at eThekwini Hospital. A murder docket has been opened at the station,” he said.

No arrests have yet been made.
