PROTESTERS have blocked parts of the N2 highway going south just after Spaghetti Junction. Several protesters have blocked the road with burning tyres. At this stage it is unknown what the protests are about.
Metro Police have cordoned off the left lane while they speak with the protesters. Traffic is slow in both directions and police have urged motorists to drive with caution in the area. Traffic has begun to back up as far as the Clare Estate Bridge.
