Family robbed at gunpoint

One of the three suspects held a gun to his head while another threatened his niece.

AN Effiingham Heights man was robbed at gunpoint earlier in the week after three armed men accosted him in his yard.

One of the men reportedly held a gun to his head while another threatened his niece, said W/ O Leon Audh, Spokesman for the Greenwood Park SAPS.

“He was then instructed to go into the house before the suspects demanded cash from him,” he added.

The men also ransacked the property and forced the homeowner to go outside and unlock his BWM.

“After loading a flat screen television, a CD player, jewellery, the gate remote and two cell phone into the car the suspects fled the scene,” he said.

The robbers are still on the loose.
