Sharks player escapes injury in accident

S'bura' Sithole escaped serious injury after rolling his Audi S3.

THE Sharks have confirmed that Sharks backline star S’bura’ Sithole was involved in a serious crash on the M12 near Moses Mabhida Stadium on Thursday morning. The 26-year-old escaped serious injury after rolling his Audi S3. Sharks spokesperson, Novashni Chetty, confirmed this morning that Sithole was in the vehicle.

“He was in an accident but thankfully he wasn’t seriously injured in the crash. A tyre burst which caused the car to flip over,” she said.

According to Netcare 911 spokesman, Chris Botha, the vehicle had come to rest on its rims.

“Paramedics arrived at the scene of the accident on the M12 near Moses Mabhida Stadium around 5am and found that the wreckage of the vehicle had come to rest on its rims, half on the pavement of the North bound lane. After investigations, they found that two occupants from the vehicle miraculously escaped with only minor injuries,” he said.
