Park Hill residents evades kidnapping

A new Mercedez-Benz C200 was used in the failed kidnapping attempt.

A PARK Hill man was nearly abducted by a group of hijackers on Tuesday evening. The victim alleged that after the suspects forced him out of his vehicle he threw his car keys at them and fled into his home.

It is alleged that the incident occurred around 9pm on Dell Road. According to W/O Leon Audh, spokesman for the Greenwood Park SAPS, the three suspects accosted the victim after they pulled up behind the victim, who was parked in his driveway. The suspects arrived in a new Mercedez-Benz C200 park.

“The complainant alleged that the men forced him out of his vehicle and as soon as he got a chance, he threw his car keys at them and managed to flee into his house. The victim further alleged that the suspects tried to grab him but he managed to escape,” said Audh.

The suspects fled the scene with the victim’s grey Ford Focus.
