Construction on M25 on-ramp delayed

GO!Durban road closures will come into effect on Friday, 18 November.

CONSTRUCTION work which was set to begin on the the M25 on-ramp this weekend has been postponed. The construction which forms part of the GO!Durban project has been delayed due to rain.

The work, scheduled on the M25 on‐ramp from the MR577 (Dumisani Makhaye Drive) in KwaMashu was for the GO!Durban dedicated bus lanes.

“The on-ramp will be not be closed to traffic this weekend as previously communicated, but will now be closed from 8pm on Friday 18 November to 8am on Monday 21 November.

Project organisers said the existing M25 on‐ramp from the MR577 in KwaMashu will be one of the existing roads that will be widened. This section is approximately 3.6km long and extends along the M25 from Bridge City in the north to the MR577 / M25 intersection.
