Durban North man pepper sprayed in robbery
The suspect was arrested after a short foot chase on the M4.
ONE person has been arrested following a house robbery and attack on a local resident on Sunningdale Drive in Durban North earlier today. The suspect was spotted breaking into the outbuilding and attacked the elderly homeowner when he tried to call for help.
According to Kyle van Reenen of Marshall Security, they were alerted to the incident via the Sun Cell Watch WhatsApp group.
“A description of the suspect was circulated to all available vehicles in the area. A positive identification was made with a suspect on the M4 Ruth First Highway. A foot chase ensued with the suspect running across the highway. He was eventually apprehended and handed over to the Durban North SAPS,” he said.
