La Lucia house breaker arrested

The suspect was handed over to the Durban North SAPS.

A LA Lucia house breaker was caught red-handed as he climbed a ladder to evade police in a house break-in this morning. According to Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen, the incident occurred at about 3am on Forest Drive.

“We received a call that a house break-in was in progress. When officers arrived, they saw a male suspect climbing a ladder. He was trying to evade arrest by climbing the ladder to get over the property’s electric fence.

“The suspect forcefully entered the premises through a bathroom window, when he was noticed by the homeowner who alerted Marshall Security. The man was arrested on site and handed over to the South African Police Services for further investigation and processing,” he said.
